Excision is bringing Denver a third set, a pre-party to his Mile High shows, this Thursday at the Mission Ballroom, and it’s no other than his infamous Detox set! Pushing beyond his usual style, Excision will be blasting the Mile High city with peculiar bass music that would be a crime to miss. Here’s a list of three reasons why you can’t miss out on this unforgettable show!
1). They’re pretty rare
Excision detox sets don’t happen very often. Unless you’re lucky enough to attend a festival like, Dubstep Disneyland, aka Lost Lands at Legend Valley in September, then chances are you haven’t seen a Detox set. Excision also rinsed a Detox at last year’s EDC basspod, but it's a rarity that he brings this experimental bass set to a city! Th ere’s no better place than mile high bass capital to be blessed by this weird, underground experience.
2.) It's a totally different visual experience
Excision is known for his outrageous 3D immersive visuals of dinosaurs and robots. However, in his detox sets he incorporates collided patterns and trippy colors in his visuals to flow with the dirty bass.
3.) They’re unlike any X set ever
Excision has been around since the popularity of electronic music grew in the early 2000s. If you have attended a set by him, you know they’re filled with heavy dubstep and edgy tearout, with the occasional melodic style. However, detox sets are more experimental and creative with down-tempo tunes. They’re less about the heavy headbanging and more about rinsing underground artists and wobbly tunes for listeners to chill out and enjoy the weirdness.
From personal experience, Excision and his live performances have an amazing artistic and high production value that brings pure joy and a sense of freedom to its listeners. If you have a chance to catch any of the X sets this weekend in Denver, don’t miss out! The pre-party is sure to start the weekend off with a bang! Tickets are still available here!
