A Night of Bass Music with SubDocta at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom

Updated: Jan 31

You are cordially invited to a night of bass music with the one and only Subdocta. Making a stop at Cervantes on his Left for Dead show this Thursday, February 1st. Offering an array of bass-heavy artists to satisfy your musical appetite.

To start off the night is Braxx, who has been in Denver for 8 years now, moving from Sioux City, Iowa. Braxx began his music production journey in 2018 while enrolled in KMG in Boulder to study Ableton music production. Inspired by the likes of Caspa, Enigma Dubz, Peekaboo, and Distinct Motive, anticipate a lot of 140, up-tempo bass, and sporadic downtempo tracks in his set. Luckily we will get a lot of Braxx originals for more than half of the set! He is set to release his Universal Language EP this Friday! His first track Introspection blends vast elements of emotion into deep bass, an incredible song to start off his EP. His second track Universal Language will be available on Friday, the 26th and the whole EP will be available February 2nd, with his song Internal Enemy, featuring Black Wolf. Braxx’s influence of deep and dark dubstep/trap is apparent through his originals as well as his flips. Make sure to show up early for his set!

Next up is a duo who has been playing/ producing in the EDM scene for over 10 years. Kyral x Banko’s sound has evolved over these years incorporating all kinds of different music into their sets and originals, as they evolve as artists. They have grown from heavy trap roots to a more experimental sound while still incorporating trap bass into their music.

They love to blend a variety of  rap vocals, different tempos and arrays of drums into their original sound. They draw  inspiration from artists like Skrillex, Peekaboo, and Alix Perez. With ten years of experience under their belt, you can expect a set filled largely with original music, as well as various unreleased tracks.  Check out their latest EP Brad with Mport on Wakaan Records to get a taste of their diversity in bass music!

Charlie Quigley, also known as Digital Ethos, has only been producing since 2015. His quick rise in the scene shows his innate talent for creating electronic music. He has gifted artistry to create experimental sound that can not be taught.

In only his second year of his Digital Ethos project he opened for Rezz at Red Rocks in October 2018. This only escalated his career from there by playing festivals such as Electric Forest, Lights All Night, Shambhala and so much more. His music has a distinct deep bass sound that instantly is identifiable as a Digital Ethos production, which is true artistry. Check out some of my favorite tracks by him such as Modus and Kill Em so you can dance along at the show. He is constantly pushing boundaries in the EDM community. One of the greatest will deliver a set with lots of deep/ glitch bass.

I am truly the most excited for the one and only Subdocta who is one of my favorite artists to see live. Preston Charles blew up in the scene in 2017 with the track “2009

Was Tight” leading him to produce more bangers and collabs with huge artists. One of my favorite collabs with Ganja White Night “The Green Lab” and a recent collaboration with Mythm, "Nightcrawler" on his new EP "Left For Dead" that just came out this month! Subdocta’s sound has so much diversity from heavy dubstep, to deep experimental sounds, to drum and bass. He is one of the most versatile artists who is not afraid to experiment with his sound. I love observing his sound and sets evolve over time.

No matter what genre of EDM he is playing or producing, he consistently infuses every set with his immaculate energy.  It's thrilling to not know what to anticipate from each of his sets.

If you are in Denver, you do not want to miss Subdocta and the rest of this insane line up on February 1st at Cervantes, make sure to grab your tickets, it will be a night full of bass and high energy!

Subdocta also recently released a mix to tide you over until he visits your city! Check it out!
