Meet the Uprising Lineup - A Movement in The Bass Capital

This Thursday at Larimer Lounge in Denver, the Colorado Bassheads are throwing a legendary show and lineup full of riddim with a wild Syzy headline!

Syzy is finally returning to Denver with a crazy bass set to close out the first Uprising.

Syzy is a bass artist from California that creates hectic tearout and riddim with a melodic, ambient sound design. They started their debut and began releasing EPs Sunshine & Plz Enjoy Music through Never Say Die Records. Syzy’s return has been long anticipated and you won’t want to miss this unforgettable headline.

Starting their company in 2019, the Colorado Bassheads aim to be a, “positive representation of the Colorado EDM scene, aka the Bass Capital.”

The main focus of their brand is to get one step closer to true unity in the Denver bass scene. The duo is starting a movement with Uprising, claiming the show is meant to inspire people to come together for a higher purpose and to take a stance for what they believe in. “The Uprising is here for people to let go of all toxicity, all expectations, all negativity and rise together as a solid unit, and empower each other,” they said.

Starting the show out with a bang is Colorado native Trigger Path, also known as Owen Pacheco.

Trigger Path has started out his journey of djing with skills he has acquired and evolved since middle school. Now at age 19 he says he finally has the resources to produce and play shows, making his dreams come true. He has big hopes for Uprising to help launch his career and play more shows in the near future. Be there at the doors to see this opening set, you won’t regret it.

Next on the lineup is Hectic back-to-back Smaxx, a spicy duo of riddim producers that are making huge moves in the Denver music scene.

Smaxx, or Max, is a 22-year-old from North Carolina that started producing Riddim or “Trench” in 2020. He created his record label Samurai Clan in 2022 with other talented, upcoming producers like Hectic.

Makel Smith, or Hectic Dubs, grew up listening to Dubstep in the, “good ol’ cornfields of Nebraska,” and it wasn’t until he met Smaxx that he was inspired to create his own. “Samurai Clan is about to be in full action this summer with merch drops, new artists on the collective and so much more, we can't wait to show everyone,” he said. You really won’t want to miss these two throw down their set at the first Uprising.

Next up is up-and-coming Ravadon Dubs, a 20-year-old producer from Denver currently living in Seattle.

Ravadon started making all styles of EDM, including Riddim and Drum and Bass, after being inspired from “Bonfire” by Knife Party in 7th grade. “From then on out I knew I wanted to dedicate my life to making and performing anything EDM related. I knew that’s what I wanted to do,” he said.

This talented DJ has learned to create his own synth and sound design in his tracks, allowing him to teach others how to do the same. “I hope to inspire people like I have been inspired. It is an honor to be back in Denver and to be playing under Syzy, somebody I’ve listened to for a long time,” he said. Ravadon also plays Larimer Lounge on April 27th for his 21st birthday and is planning to soon release an EP after Uprising!

Playing direct support for Syzy will be Yoto back-to-back Enuf, an iconic mix of talented producers making their way up to the top of the Denver music scene and beyond. Yoto is an up-and-coming duo made up of Bryson and Mateo, 22-year-olds creating wild riddim and tear out styled music.

Beginning their djing journey in 2019, the pair has opened up for huge names such as Codd Dubz, Smal B and Artixx. They just released their new song “Round n Round'' through a group that they just joined, MISPHITZ. “This show helps us continue growing our brand and showing the world who Yoto is,” they said.

Enuf, or Devin Zechiel, is a 23- year-old Denver native producing upbeat dubstep styles ranging from Deep dub to heavy Riddim.

Enuf has been DJing for 6 years and makes music under three different aliases including “Kaize.” He is also the third member of Hostage Situation, a rapidly growing trio of amazing producers releasing some of the most popular tunes and booking shows across America. Hostage Situation has some legendary shows coming up such as Arizona with GorillaT on 4/14, opening up for Champagne Drip in Portland on 5/5 and the groups self curated show Ransom Camp II at Meow Wolf in Denver on 6/24.

“I am excited to be b2b with the homies Yoto on the 30th. It’s an honor to be playing direct for the don Syzy. This will be an amazing night filled with talented artists. Shout out to the Colorado Bassheads crew for making this happen,” said Enuf.
